Found this today at an antique store - looks to be a shaving soap holder of sorts, had residual soap in it (a very thin layer) that smelled like Old Spice Shave Soap ... problem is, when I try putting a puck of OS from an OS mug into it, the puck is too tall, but diameter is perfect?  Anyone know if Old Spice made a puck that was half as high at one point?  Or is this an aftermarket shaving soap holder?

Thanks!

I don't believe that is an Old Spice produced piece.  Because of Old Spice's success several other companies copied the nautical theme.  You might want to do some research on Franklin Toiletries and Surrey to see if you can find a match, I'm sure there were other producers but those were the first to come to mind.

I agree as well it is a themed bowl. Very nice but not a piece marketed by Shulton Company.

I have a similarly themed bowl from England which I use for soap.  I believe it once contained Gentleman's Relish (anchovy paste), but I prefer this application.
