Cool weather always brings out the vetivers, woodsy, leathery scents. Marlborough is the fall-winter bell weather for me.

I grabbed a stick of Arlington perhaps I should have picked up a Marlborough as well. So many soaps to pick up, so many favorites. This is my favorite time of the year.

Personally, I happily use any soap in cold weather. I could use an earthy or woodsy scent that brings a feeling of warmth or I am just as happy using a bright, fresh scent that reminds me of bright, warm days.

One gives a feeling of warmth and the other an imagining of bright, clear, sunny days.

Using warm scents in warm weather is something I avoid.

I got into some TOBS sandalwood yesterday , it’s been maybe 10 years since I have last used this cream. I will always have a tub on hand now , great scent.

Fougere Gothique smells like Halloween, like a dreary October day out in the fields. I honestly don't know how it's done.
Brings me back to when I was like 6 years old, raking leaves.

If there was something to change about it, I would tame the sweet note just a bit (which, I'm guessing is "strawberry leaf", but not sure).
Leaving the top off for a day or two helped that.

That sweet note definitely serves its purpose, but just wish it was a little more lost in the background.

My personal go to this time of year is Calani Oriental plum! Great performance and the scent is ..... on another level for me. What’s everyone else like?

I was intrigued by your assessment of the Oriental Plum and am interested as to how to purchase.  I went to their website and they have it, but they don't have
an English version - so I got lost after putting in my basket.  Any thoughts would be appreciated?

That is correct , they do not ship to the US factory direct. Shave Dash has whole pucks of Calani with a variety of scents to chose from.

In addition to the Leviathan I like using during cold days a few other soaps and creams:

Soaps: Nuavia Rossa, LPL Oud, T+S Shag, Grooming Dept Mallard, Ballenclaugh Honey Tobaccand Festive Parlor

Creams: AOS Oud, Fitjar Havn

I thought I had replied here...guess not.
My go-to balm is Village Barber balm from the UK.  It's a fantastic earthy scented balm.
When I'm not using that, I'm using my ABC tobacco verde aftershave milk (balm).

Both of those sound nice , I have always wanted to try the ABC balms.
