I now have 3 Rhodium-plated Aristocrat #16s, each dating from 1948, and identical in every respect except for the cases (sets).

As far as I know, these are the only three cases that the #16 came in, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if someone, somewhere, came up with yet another.

Here are the pictures. Enjoy.

No, otherwise they would be in the relevant thread, with prices.

Ha! A gold version...that would make it a #19 if I'm not wrong. Now I want one Smile

Have a couple of #15's and their great shavers but I favor my #34 and #36 OC's as they are just a little more efficient IMO. Bottom line they give a great shave and all look amazing! Nice collection!

Same, yes. I don't have a 36 Aristocrat, but I love the knurling and I'm on the lookout for one. The 34 in my possession is in mint condition. I've been watching in awestruck silence at the huge prices they fetch, knowing that my own is in better condition than those I have seen sold just recently. Can't be all that uncommon, but perhaps a little difficult to acquire. There seems to be a bit of a run on them currently.

I find all the British Aristocrats to be  very good. I find I often reach for the #22/66 more these days.

Do you pics of your sets?

I think I do have some photos of some of mine as I've done shave comparisons on other sites I belong to. Also I've got 3 Aristocrats going to Cap and Chris for a replate. I've got 1 46/47 that is near perfect and one Brit that may have never been used as well. BTW love the Brits.. the Aristocrats are probably one of it not my favorite Vintage razors for looks combined with shave quality. An yes they are bringing a lot of money right now.  I've been lucky to grab some really great ones from Canada and the UK at reasonable prices. There are some Brits around right now that I saw that aren't to highly priced. I look at it this way. If I find a really nice one that functions great and there are no nicks, deep scratches on it but has a little plate loss etc then they becomes a candidate for a replate cause once they come back they are absolutely beautiful. I'm doing one of mine in White Rhodium and another in a White and Black Rhodium combo. I figure I have enough Aristocrats in their original finishes that I want to have some fun with replating the ones that aren't mint or near perfect so I'm also thinking of a replate and gun coating combo on one as well. I'll try to post up some photos on my day off or I can take some new photos of the ones that are still home with me and not at Caps.

Yeah, that 22/66 seems to be in good shape for the price yet no takers.
Great duo the Chris's.

Hello,
I found this razor at an estate sale today. I believe it is the aristocrat # 18 in gold. The razor and case look like they were never used.
Can someone confirm what this would sell for on ebay.
Thank you,

Put it on eBay and find out. However, you haven't hit the motherlode put it that way. You will likely make a handsome profit, though.

The 16s are alright....mild, lush and smooth....the one that gets me all worked up is the #21.

Wouldn't mind a few of those as back up.

(03-14-2018, 05:53 PM)On Mr Razor Ive seen this one described as a 4th generation #21 set. The bar that holds the blade has a notch, no wings. Wrote: The Fourth Amigo:
