Tabula Rasa is a light cream not as dense as say Castle Forbes , beautiful slick lather. Worthy of a try in my opinion and there are many scents to choose from.

What are your best performing creams (slickness/cushion/ease of lathering), scent not a factor? How would you break it down by price point (low/medium/high)?

Although I have played around with one-night stands with many creams over the years, including some sainted ones like Castle Forbes, I have only liked three enough to keep them in my personal stock:

Kiss My Face Lavender/Shea, which I prefer to the other KMF versions for performance, though I prefer some of the other KMF scents;

AOS Ocean Kelp;

Aubrey Men’s Stock North Woods. Note: this is not a lathering cream; it is a brushless cream.

My guess as to how those would be classified by price is low, medium, low.

Many good choices listed so far in the thread.  Among the reasonably priced creams, I like Proraso Red and Musgo Real Classic.  Going to a higher price level, I like AoS in both lavender and sandalwood.

The thing about creams is there's a lot less difference, performance-wise, between the best , the good and the not so good  than the gap in soaps. I prefer soaps but creams are less of a gamble. The best soaps are better than the best creams but the worst soaps are just plain bad. There are fewer bad creams, don't know why.

Ingredients make a difference. Price doesn't.

My favourite creams are: TOBS, Trumper and Body Shop Maca Root. None is low price, but neither are they high price.

The body shop cream was too good a price to turn down. I just bought the next six months worth of cream for a little over 30 bucks.

I have now tried the Asylum English Collection creams in European Barbershop and Charcoal.  At $17.00 for 6 oz., these creams perform beyond their price point and are an excellent value.

As wet shaving creams go, I've only used Taylor of Old Bond Street Almond Scent, Cremo Cooling Shave Cream (from a tube), and Van Der Hagen Shave Butter (also from a tube).  I much prefer Taylor of Old Bond Street as it doesn't require much to whip up a good lather and has a fair amount of slickness.  Are there creams out there that offer more slickness?  Probably.  I primarily use soap pucks, so I'm not sure what other creams might be out there that might be better than Taylor.

Coates needs a mentioning. One of the best performing creams at any price, the best at its price. My other most reached for creams.... TOBS Shaving Shop, SJoL Cedarwood & Clarysage, Xpec, CF, Floris 89......

I'll just say, best low price I've found is Kiss My Face. Medium price, C.R. Salter.

Absolutely... IMO, Coates far exceeds the 3Ts.
