For all you fans of the AC single edge blades, I am offering up 5 two blade sample packs of the Schick Proline blade.  This blade has gotten a lot of talk lately but is not the easiest to get.  I got my hands on 3 boxes (from a great TSN member) and want to give other members the chance to try these out.  Just PM me with your address if you are interested.  I'll stop at five requests.

I would be interested, please. So would these work in El Jefe, for example? Or the CJB shavette?

Wow.  That was fast.  Five takers including Rory.  Blades will go out early next week!  I'll respond to PMs later today confirming that you are in the 5.

Thanks for playing.

They should.  They work in my Rx.

Generous offer and thank you! (I was one of the lucky ones.) So much positive feedback about this blade that I'm anxious to try one.

Generous of you to do this. I was able to try prolines via a pif like this as well, great blades.

I used one for the first time today.  Loaded in my Rx, it felt smoother than a feather pro, but slightly less sharp.  A good shave overall.  Looking forward to using it some more and hearing other opinions.

Very generous.

Interesting blades. I am trying one from a sampler I bought and it's very sharp I think without feeling harsh.

They also feel thicker too.  Also, a PSA for folks...the dispenser on the first package I opened doesn't work that well...it doesn't always follow the blade all the way out.  No biggie, but interesting.  Maybe it is just a bum dispenser.

Thank you Tom. I got mine today. Once my current blade turns south the Proline will be next.

Great.  Would love to hear your thoughts.  I've been using the Sabre and Gems for the last week...need to get back to the proline for more testing.

It was time to change the blade in El Jefe anyway...and am I glad I did! The Proline gave me the best shave I'd ever had with this razor.

In the past I've been pleased with the end results from El Jefe, but the shaves have never exactly been comfortable.

This one was, and mighty efficient too. I was down to touch-up on the third pass.

There were a few pinpricks, which I'll put down to being the first use of the blade.

But overall, really excellent. I'll be on the lookout for these.

Tom,

I received mine and I'm on the second shave with them—each shave in a different SE. Too soon for me for me to make a call. Thank you for the blades.

Glad to hear they arrived.  I have a few more shaves in with the proline and am liking them.  Need to do a head to head with the Kai Mild which I use regularly...

Consensus is in...smooth blade that I would consider choosing over the Feather Professional, but not my favorite: Feather Professional Super. I would buy them. A big thanks to Tom for this PIF.

Are they compatible with Cobra too?
