For those that have been following my brush design threads, my next step has been to list a few of these on Etsy at Endeavor Brush Works.  I appreciate everyone's support and encouragement as I've gone through this process and am looking forward to more folks getting to use and enjoy my brushes.  I chose the name "Endeavor" since this was, well, an endeavor!  Also, looking back at my early sketches, that was the first name I jotted down when working out the early design.

Here are the links for those that haven't followed the thread and are curious --   Making a Brush and Making a Brush Part 2.

I'll post here whenever I put something new up on the site.  I had two brushes on the BST which I've just moved over to the store.  Let me know if you have any questions, and thanks as always for your support!

I just finished up this brush.  This has a painted handle and white silicone accent ring with a 26 mm TGN finest bulb shaped knot.  The colors remind me of a Vespa scooter I see zipping around town...so I called it Vespa.  Just posted it to the shop at Endeavor Brush Works.

Thanks Charlie.  The ideas and brushes have been piling up here at the house, so I need an outlet for them!

Needless to say, my employer isn't concerned that I will be quitting my day job!   Biggrin

Have you given any thoughts to selling just the handles Tom?

If there is interest in handles only I can do that. Also if there is appetite for a brush with synthetic knots I can look into that as well.  I'm open to feedback from the TSN membership on any and all points!

If you are looking for one specifically, send me a PM and we can discuss as well.

Speaking of handles...

Here is a new color scheme I've been working on.  Still  finalizing the finish,  but I like the color combination.

I just added a few of these to Endeavor Brush Works.  Each EBW brush comes with this tube - great for the dopp kit or storage. Now they are available separately.  They have a vent hole in the flip top lid and write-on sticker for labeling.   Want to make your own?  You can find these tubes at your local hardware store or on line...they are made by Viewtainer.  This particular one is the 2"x4" flip top model.

I've been traveling with one for a few months now...I really like being able to bring my larger brushes when I am not worried about space/weight.

Thanks for looking.  Let me know if you have any questions!

Warning!!  This is not a finished brush...just more experiments.  Wink

I've been experimenting with various techniques to paint the brushes.  I've been playing around with an airbrush the last week or two and figuring out what the best method is to get a durable, gloss, or semi-gloss finish.  This is by no means a finished product...I think I've painted and sanded this handle about a half a dozen times trying to work out the kinks.  The handle was also an early reject as it has a fair number of inclusions or artifacts in it.  You can see where I masked off the handle in halves...a gloss half and a semi or flat half.

I was never a modeler (model trains, planes, etc) as a kid, but as I understand it this is very similar to the painting stage of that hobby...this has been a fun diversion to get into.

As an aside...I have some synthetic knots coming in at the request of a few folks, so if you are looking for a synth in one of these handles, let me know.  There is a "custom order" button on the shop page.

I think most folks can see it if I post it this way?  Sounds like google photos might not play well with some OS's or even with Tapatalk?  Not sure

Tom, I've had a busy week at work and with packing up my father-in-law's house; trying to get ready for closing before my knee surgery. I'll get those pins out to you on Monday. Thanks for being patient Smile
