Was thinking to myself: “If I had to pick ONE shave soap per season , what would those four soaps be?” Here are my picks:
Winter: B&M First Snow
Spring: Mike’s Lily of the Valley
Summer: Mike’s Lime
Fall: Stirling Gatlinburg

Now your turn, and play fair: What are your four picks of ONE soap or cream per season if you had to choose (yes, I know just how hard of a decision that can be!)?

I can't use just one soap for three straight days let alone three whole months. Heck, I sometimes use a different one for the second pass.

This is hilarious and sounds like something I would do, although I have never tried it. Thinks for convincing me there are others like me, ha

Are we talking about basing soaps on their scent compatibility in the seasons or how they work for my skin during the change of weather?

Hmm, good question. I picked mine mostly on scent because the performance of all brands I picked work well for my skin year round. That being said, pick as you wish!

I like tallow soap when it's cold out and veggie soap when it's hot out. I have oily skin on my face and in the summer MdC or WSP is what works best for me. When the furnace is running and it's bitter cold out though my face appreciates the extra fat in something like a tallow soap. Lately over the past few years lots of veggie soaps have shown without much doubt though that they can be just as moisturizing and clean as old fashioned tallow soaps.

I do tend to get into drier scents and darker, more complex products like Beaudelair and Tabac in the winter that I wouldn't use as much in the spring and summer. My lighter and fruitier stuff goes to the back of the shelf too. I'm not hard and fast about strictly using anything or not depending on the season though.

My face tells me when it needs more soothing for sure though. Usually that's in the winter.

Oh, that SV Felce is a nice pick indeed.  Forgot about that one!

I really enjoy most Citrus scented soaps all year round but for a nice warm shave in the winter I like me some WSP Bay Rum.
