Hey All, What are your favorite Matte Clay hair styling products? I use American Crew Fiber because I found a bunch for <$9 per tub at a discount store. I also have Blumaan (meracki?) which is great, but a tad bit expensive. I am thinking about venturing to purchase The Holy Black's Matte pomade next, but I am not on the fence. What would y'all recommend?

I liked to use Old Spice matte pomade. Not enough hair to use any anymore. Hey wait! Maybe it was the Old Spice pomade that caused the pattern baldness, don´t use it .... (j/k)

Does this have a scent?  It appears not from the website, but wanted to check.

I like Suavecito matte pomade.  My wife likes the scent but please don't ask me to describe it.  I also like Kuul hair wax.  This scent is a low key masculine cologne.  I am horrible at trying to describe scents.  Both have a flexible, low strength hold.

I like Layrite Cement Clay and Bed Head Tigi Matte Separation. Layrite is better if you like to run your hands through your hair while the bed head has a better hold. You can rework the bed head, but it's a little thicker, so it usually requires a little water.

Sorry, just now saw your question. Yes, both the Matte Clay (white tine) and the Fiber (dark blue tin) have the same scent which is a mint chocolate scent.  Think Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies.  Scent hangs around for an hour at most.  If you haven't tried any of the Reuzel pomades (not just the fiber and matte clay) yet you should, each formula is excellent.

I'm a fan of the Nostalgic Grooming's water-based Barbershop but I haven't tried their Teakwood Citrus Matte Clay yet - it will be included on my next order. Overall, the company gets high marks on forums/videos so I imagine any of their offerings is solid.

Lockhart’s Matte Clay is great. My favorite maker.
Flagship Blackship is also really nice and has the look/feel if matte clay in my hair.

I forgot about Shear Revivals Matte Paste. A winner for sure. Heck all three you listed are, just not in my current rotation.

I have tried more than I care to admit, but I found one that is a killer scent/performance combo.
