So here goes - I have a couple of ARCs and I have decided I need to get a BBS-1 again.

So that is what I have to offer - my Weber ARC with Bulldog handle in very gently used condition for your LASSCo BBS-1 or Wolfman OC all stainless (head and handle) straight across.

Pic with blade loaded so you can clearly see no wavy blade issue as well.

Both of these razors are iconic, nearly impossible to find and have cult followings.  I am trying to have one of each.

That’s the offer - my unicorn for yours.  Each pays own shipping via priority mail with insurance to cover a minimum of $350 value per razor so we are both protected.

NOW OFFERING FOR SALE - $365 shipped and insured to US or $380 shipped to UK/Canada.

I don’t ever gauge by eBay value - folks that pay $1000 for a BBS-1 on auction sites ay have a lot of money to blow, but that doesn’t make it worth that across the board.  If you Check completed listings over the past 6 months - 1 year you will see ones that went for $299 and ones that went for $1299 - it’s a wide range for sure.

For sites like TSN I think we do a good job of not allowing ridiculous overinflation to creep into deals between members here.

BBS-1 would have to be my grail razor. I would love to get one at a reasonable price and I am not prepared to pay stupid amounts of money for one. Unfortunately I have fairly well resigned myself to the fact that this basically means that I will likely never get one.

I had a BBS-1 once and it didn't suit me at all.  I didn't think it was worth the retail price let alone the wild prices seen on flea-bay.
If I still had it, I'd have happily traded it for an ARC.  YMMV of course.

There’s a reason i am holding on to one ARC — BBS-1 is still being made, as far as I know the Weber ARC will never be produced again. In my book, it’s more rare of a shaving treasure for my rotation.

For me, the Wolfman razors were awful shaves. The bbs1 is the perfect razor for me. I used to have a bunch of razors but sold them all and kept the bbs1. I've tried different razors since, but haven't found one to match the shave the bbs1 gives me.

I haven't tried any charcoal goods razors yet. I'd like to check that box too. I've heard they are great razors.

To each their own.

I'm with you, can't see spending $300+ on a razor

Not to shave with, if I could turn around and sell it for $1000, that's all I would be doing.

I have a bbs-1
I was considering selling it but a trade with a Weber is worth a thought.
It seems someone beats me to it.

I've not tried a BBS-1, but I recently found that I prefer Weber over Timeless.  To each his own

The BBS-1 shaves like a Wolfman because it is a Wolfman razor. These made by James for LA Shaving Soap Co

Of course I know bbs is a wolfman as own one; rather was responding to weber over timeless reply.

Also not confident it is good form to attempt intercepting the original posters thread to obtain a bbs from the French respondent

Apologies, I misunderstood and thought a trade had already been completed.
