I used the new Cadet SBF-14 razor for the first time today and was impressed. The SPF-14 is a new TTO razor that is exclusive to Shave A Buck and I found the fit and finish, TTO mechanism and shave quality to be impressive -especially considering the price. The SBF-14 is a moderately aggressive razor that is a tad more aggressive than a Red Tip with a longer handle. Paired with a Polsilver Super Iridium blade, it delivered a great shave.

Thanks for the review Phil, I was eyeing it for a few days. Red tip is just the right aggression level for me in TTO, good comparison.

Thanks for the review Phil. I have the TTO-15 but have yet to give it a spin as I have fallen in love with the Cadet Open Comb. Maybe tomorrow I may have to try out the TTO Biggrin

I've heard great things about the open comb. What handle are you pairing it with?

Thanks for a great review Phil. I have been using the TP01 open comb and it shaves great. I just ordered the black handle version in another OC configuration. These are a nice line of razors and the price is right.

The Cadet TTO-15 is also a moderately aggressive razor.

I have used it so far with the Cadet SS-26 handle, the EJ DE89L handle and the iKon Bulldog.

Just for information sake, I was able to measure the blade gap of my Cadet TTO-15 at .81mm fully closed.

Good information Gary...so the same as Slim Adjustable @ 5 or British Red Tip.

Phil, great review. The more positive reviews I see of the Cadet line of razors I will be adding one to my Nook soon.

I have now used the Cadet SBF-14 five or six times and it has become one of my top two TTO razors. It is an efficient shaver and works wonderfully with the Polsilver Super Iridium blades. The Cadet SBF-14 is keeping good company as my other favorite TTO razor is the Wilkinson Sticky.

Do yourself a favor and pick one up from Shave-A-Buck while they are still available. You won't be sorry.
