Great offering Phil.  I think a premium boar brush will be well received.

I've got an Omega Professional 10049 knot that was transplanted into a Rudy Vey R7 handle, and it's one of the best brushes in my collection. Absolutely amazing, and this $9 knot is in real contention with some $400+ brushes. I'm also of the opinion the H.L. Thäter makes some of the best brushes that are available anywhere.

I'm very excited to see what they can do with a high quality boar knot.

A custom handle with a transplanted Omega knot is essentially the way to get a premium boar brush right now.   This collaboration between Thater and BullGoose seems to be about to change that.

By the way, your Omega/RV brush sounds very nice Craig.  Perhaps you can post pictures over in the Brushes section.

Love that old fashioned Omega. I picked up one of the Zenith boars In the premium aluminum handle and use it as my only ? . I’d buy a Thater boar.

Phil, do they have coin at the base or is it only limited to Thater's badger brushes.

I am almost positive that they will have the coin.

Interesting.  The loft seems disproportionately tall relative to Semogue 620 or 610.

Does anyone bowl lather with a boar?

Omega has the Italian Flag Colors Acrylic brush as well. That is top notch. Especially if you have the LE. Lovely premium handle with a knot a touch better than their standard boar hair. That and Semogue, especially their LEs. Semogue has that market cornered.

I'm familiar with the Omega Italian flag handle, and you're right that it's nicer than the typical Omega plastic handle.  The Semogue SOC handle is also nice.  However, I think that a boar knot in a Thater handle is a game changer.  I'm definitely looking forward to a boar knot in a Thater 4125 handle.

I agree with it being a game changer. Thater is well liked for their badger brushes, and already has considerable clout among wetshaving enthusiasts. Semogue and Omega are both appreciated, but not to the same level, and they are more regarded for their boar brushes. People tend to place boars into the camp of being inferior when that is just not the case. Thater getting into boar brushes will cause people to stop and actually consider boar as why would Thater bother with making boar if there wasn't some merit behind it?

I don't use my boar all that often, maybe two or three times a month, but when I do I bowl lather with it. It is an SOC.

The brushes are nearly ready. We reduced the loft slightly and used an ultra premium natural boar. I expect to receive the natural white boar brushes next week and the banded boar brushes a few weeks after that. Here are a few teaser pictures.
