Just got mine today in the mail and it looks even better in person! I just did a shave comparison yesterday so I'm still to clean shaven to take it for a spin,  but over the weekend it will have my total attention and as soon as I get some stubble the first shave is on!

I used it on first shave with a feather, my fave blade, but tofay I think I'll use the Plosilver to test smoothness. Incredible shave. Along with it I'll use my ATT SE2 for the first time to compare smoothness, although this is comparing unequals, but as a shaver I'd like now to narrow down my choices to the best of each genre.

I'm betting the Paradigm is smoother  Thumbsup

Having used both...the 17-4 wins hands down.

Can any one compare the Paradigm 17-4 to the  Tatara?

Both are my favorite razors Tatara I feel has nicer design and longer handle they both are efficient and smooth Shavers. The Paradigm may be a smidge smoother it's hard to compare you have to experience them both.

The 17-4 is indeed much smoother razor than the ATT SE2. They do also feel differently on the face. I do like the ATT and intend tro keep it, but the Paradigm wins hands down.

If and when 17-4 gets re-released, I'll offer the option of a longer, slightly thicker handle. Lots of people want it.

I have the 17-4 and think the weight and balance/ handle is perfect along with the shave it provides..
Excellent razor, thank you and Phil..

Andy, IF you do another razor in the17-4 material can you have some longer handles made for purchase separately too? Although I have come to truly love the current, shorter handle, I would still like a slightly longer one. Just a thought and thanks!

Just used mine for the first time today and all the great reviews I've been reading were confirmed with this shave. It is stealthy efficient as you don't think it's mowing down your stubble because it's so darn smooth! You know when you get " one of those razors "  The ones that you know from the very first stroke that everything is right for you.. well the Paradigm 17-4 is one of those razors and it will immediately go into my rotation. I used a traditional long stroke 3 pass shave WTG, XTG and ATG and I got a solid level 1 BBS shave and it was very easy to get combined with a Posliver blade. Also now that I've shaved with it I can say the handle works well for me. Fit and finish are top notch and my hat goes off to Andy for his creation.  Can't wait to do some comparison shaves with it and more so to do a shave using my skin stretch short stroke progressive beard reduction technique. I think that I can get at least a level 2 BBS and maybe that elusive Level 3 that I've only gotten twice in 8yrs of wet shaving.

So glad I got the last one that night and thanks ShaveMD for the heads up or else I'd still be waiting for one.

Would it be available as a stand alone option for those of us who already own the razor?
