There you go

Thank you. I was a little puzzled by the T-shaped slots in the lower cap, but that is "just" a stylistic choice Smile

Machining and finish looks pretty good to me Smile

Yes I think the T is just for design and their name is a beautifully made razor as good as anything on the market

Thank you for the additional pictures- that is one handsome razor!  I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of it long term and which plate you prefer.

Does it use standard threads so the handle may be swapped out?

I was wondering the same thing.
It looks like the threaded end of the handle actually fits inside of the shaft hole.
Also how many millimeters long is it?
Thank you.

The handle has standard threads but you cannot switch handles because the very tip of the handle goes into the head of the razor.

You are correct the threaded end of the handle goes into the shaft hole. The handle is 31/2 inches or 89 mm

I wonder if a Blackbird handle would fit it?

I just checked, the blackbird handle does not fit. But I love the handle on the Tatara Razor

Thank you for posting these pictures. Do you mind taking a picture showing the threads as well?

I saw the Tatara razor and liked the design, the clean modern look so I went ahead and ordered one with both plates.

I have been using the Tatara with both the SB and OC plates daily now for about 2 weeks using 2 different blades, Polsilver and Gillette Yellow, for me I like the blade feel and feedback this razor gives. I have found that with the right blade and soaps (cushion, glide and slickness) renders this razor to give a smooth and very efficient shave. To make a comparison I believe the  SB plate gives a Timeless 95 feel, the OC plate is somewhat more aggressive (blade feel) yet again especially with the OC plate, with the right blade and soap this plate will give you a very smooth and very efficient shave, just remember if you are not paying attention the OC could bite. Again a good soap is required to get the full benefits from this delightful razor. My opinion is, this razor is not for those that want a mild shaver.

Nice review. I continue to hope I’ll never buy another razor, but reviews like this make the Tatara very tempting...

The Masamune is a wonderful razor. I have the SB and have ordered the OC. Very smooth and efficient. The 17-4 has rightfully been receiving amazing accolades. This razor isn't on the same level. The SB is a touch smoother than the 17-4 and a little less efficient. Three pass shave and a little touch up around the jaw line and I am BBS with no irritation. ATG on the neck...no problem.

I put the SB plate away after the 2nd shave, i,m very happy with the OC. But my go to razor (for the moment) is the CG L3 SB. The problem that i,m having (like so many others) is to many supurb razors to choose from, and they just keep on coming

I wouldn't say it's mild but it's also not rough or aggressive but it's smooth and efficient it is not mild like a RZR Rock mamba or a feather asd2
