It's not aggressive at all actually.

The teeth extend pretty far past the blade edge and the individual teeth have smooth rounded corners. The blades are hair shaper blades that barbers use to clean up your neck after a trim. They are exceedingly smooth and sharp out of the box.

The one caveat is that the blades are very long. That being said the head is really maneuverable. With a low profile head, a gentle amount of exposure, a smooth sharp blade with a rounded point makes for a really fun and satisfying shave.

Shave-wise? Colonial General
Nostalgia-wise? Kampfe Lather Catcher (which is also a great shaver)

Where did you get it restored? Just plating or a tune up as well?

I apologize for not seeing your post earlier.  I had it restored (plating + tune up) at Razor Emporium in Rhodium.

All my AC razors are fun. One of the fun-est is the one on the right -- aluminum Colonial General with a UFO Kaiser aluminum handle. Great shaver. Thumbup

Should it be Fun-est, Funn-est, or Fun-nest?   Signs011

Schick L-type.

Always a great irritation-free shave.

So by hair shaper blades you mean like injector type that are on Amazon?

Below is a photo for those of you who have never heard of the Grand Shave King (myself included).  It is a DE razor on an SE thread but no matter because the razor is so cool.  The words "self lubricating" is inscribed on the top cap and it appears that many modern DE razors have copied this design.

Sorry, I actually forgot this was an SE thread! The Shave King is very unique, so much so that it makes one forget topicality LOL
