Morning Ghost Release Notes;

Cold River Soap Works latest scent creation, Morning Ghost in our GLIDE Shaving Cream Soap will be available on Wednesday February 14th at 12pm EST.

Morning Ghost is a beautiful fragrance highlighting a very special vetiver essential oil that is green, earthy and spicy. Rounding off the complex in-house blend is a mixing of essential oils bringing an aromatic woodsy scent with a balanced lemony citrus running throughout.

Along with this new GLIDE Shaving Cream Soap we will be offering a matching Aftershave Splash

I'm looking forward to Morning Ghost. Glide is still the best performing shaving soap that I've ever used, and the slickness is any straight razor shaver's dream.

Same here.  I'm not a big vetiver fan but I am excited about this scent.

I like vetiver, and the initial descrption of this soap as green, earthy and woodsy sounded right up my alley.  Alas, I dislike citrus scents, so the lemony citrus aspect of the soap is not for me.  However, Larry is a master of blending, so I know this will be a superb scent.  When the soap is released, I'll be looking for comments about how strong the citrus aspect of the scent is.

Even if not a vetiver fan, I think you will most likely enjoy THIS one.

Ricardo, there is no citrus type essential oil (orange, lemon, lime, bergamot, etc), in Morning Ghost. It is a blend of 11 different incredibly high quality essential oils and one of them does impart a sort of light lemon like quality. Maybe you have crushed a type of pine needle or other plant leaf and thought you might be picking up a lemon like aroma? Same thing here, very light and more of a "I detect" or "catch a fleeting" effect.

I'm very excited to release this scent since it's been a long time in formulation and I'm extremely pleased with this particular fragrance. Might just be my favorite of all the scents I've offered to this point.

Thank you for the clarification on the scent Larry.  With any other soap maker, I would pass on any soap with the word lemon anywhere in the scent description.  After your explanation, and knowing your skill at blending scents, I'll definitely be trying this soap when it's released.

Was I the first one to order the new Morning Ghost?  Usually I'm the one that just missed out, but I was setting on top of the computer this morning.

I'm a huge Vetiver fan and long-time wet shaver (though new to theshavenook).
On a google search for great soaps last week I discovered CRSW and was about to order until I saw the pending Morning Ghost.
Ordered the glide and aftershave today (maybe at about 12:15)
Definitely looking forward to it.

I ordered the set. CRSW soaps perform great and Larry creates some very elegant scents. Looking forward to this version of vetiver, the Glide base is superb.

Welcome to TSN Barry.  When you can, please post in the Introductions section so our members can give you a proper welcome.  CRSW soaps are great, and I expect you'll like Glide a lot.

I've been a fan of Vetiver since a business trip to Australia in the early 80's. What got me started was the hotel bar soap.  It had the flowery/sweet vetiver scent, and something else I can't recall now. I find it very interesting to sample the various interpretations of Vetiver. I'd wager that about half the soaps/creams in my shave drawer are some variant of Vetiver. I've ordered Morning Ghost soap and after shave. The postman can't get here soon enough!

I received my Morning Ghost, and it's another superbly blended scent by Larry.  Green and grassy summarizes this scent for me.  It joins Mike's Vetiver as my two favorite vetiver soaps.
