Can’t pick only one. The artisan soaps I’m currently enjoying (in no particular order) are Mike’s, B&M, ASW, LPL, Mystic Water, CRSW. I‘ve also enjoyed Shannon’s, but haven’t replaced it. Must get on that.

The vast array of really nice artisan soaps and creams is impressive.  Castle Forbes now is selling a new shaving soap they call 1445 which is the fragrance they have been selling for a number of years now. I've placed an order for a sample from ShaveDash in UK. I'm looking forward to giving it a try. It's good to see CF branching out in the shaving cream fragrance department.

A lot of very good artisans soaps but without question the best soap I've ever used is Cold River Soap Works Glide.

I've  made clear before my feelings toward artisan soaps and creams and I'm not sure if what about to comment on is artisan, but I absolutely love Boellis Panama.  But does it qualify?

My favorites have changed... a little.

In order

CRSW Glide
Jabonman Eufros
CRSW Select
Wholly Kaw
Mikes

That's it. But right now honestly it's CRSW Glide and then everything else. Please offer more Glide Scents please!

1. Haslinger
2. Barrister & Mann glissant formula
3. Mike's Natural Soaps

If I could get Haslinger in stronger and maybe more varied scents, it's all I'd need. My perfect world is Haslinger having Stirling's quantity of options (even if it means FO not EO).

The top tiers are so close to one another, performance wise, that for me it all comes down to a matter of which scent suits you better. I have B&M, Stirling, Eufros Tallow, Declaration, Wholly Kaw, MLS, Chiseled Face, and others like "By Luna" (vegetal based) and I personally think that finding noticeable differences is really hard. I had Mystics and liked them a lot... whenever I was lucky enough to get the lather properly dialed in, which wasn't often.

If I have to pick two, I'd pick the Eufros Premium Tallow and Declaration.

Boellis does not claim to have a parent company. In addition, their fragrances are considered “niche” by fragheads, and so a logical conclusion would be that they are certainly closer to “artisan” than non-artisan.

And yes, their soap is top notch, as are all their products.

I don't know about top artisan but Grooming Dept and Wholly Kaw have made me question all my vegan and tallow soaps. CRSW tallow, Mike's, and Jabonman tallow will continue to get my business.

Tier 1:
- Wholly Kaw Donkey Milk
- Cold River Soap Works Glide
- Eufros Tallow by Jabonman

Tier 2
- Tallow + Steel Old Formula
- Mike's Natural
- Cold River Soap Works Old Select

Tier 3
- Cold River Soap Works New Select
- Tallow + Steel New Formula
- Grooming Dept Duck

All of them are in my top tier level(maybe minus one or two) and can be swap easily, but I rank the base on personal preference as well such as scent, lather appearance and packaging.

This currently. Tip of the hat to Wholly Kaw, Jeeves, Mike’s, and MW.

Eufros Premium Tallow and Wholly Kaw Donkey Milk. Great performance and scents. I could use these two soaps only and be perfectly content.

Wholly Kaw (Tallow +/- DM, both fantastic)
Eufros Premium
Mystic Water
Barrister & Mann Reserve
Mike's

CRSW Glide is growing on me, but I'm not a huge fan of loading creams. I plan to revisit the Select formula in 2018.
