Not even being a traditional shaver for a year yet I've definitely been in "try it out" mode and have collected a good bit of software already. I'm fortunate that everything I've tried has worked well. Some items definitely had more of a learning curve to them than others, but they all work and I honestly enjoy all of them. Yes I have some favorites, but that's not the point here. I'm just curious about numbers. How much of each do you have? Please don't count multiples of the same soap. I'm more interested in how many different soaps and scents you have. For instance I have 12 pucks of Williams from a recent Kroger clearance but I'll only count that as 1 in my hard soap tally. However, if you have modern and vintage Williams then you can count that as 2.

How many hard soaps?

How many soft soaps?

How many shave sticks?

How many creams?

Here are my answers...

Hard soaps -- 10 (MWF, Cade, Williams - modern, Old Spice, BlueBeard's Revenge, Provence Sante, DVH, DVH extra fris, TSD malachite, TSD interception)

Soft soaps -- 2 (Cella, RazorRock XXX)

Shave sticks -- 3 (DVH, DVH - old formulation, Arko)

Creams -- 11 (Speick, Musgo Real, Godrej Lime, Godrej Deluxe, Omega, CO Bigelow, Proraso, Dettol Cool, TSD ISZ Wheat, Derby, Everest)

I am a small collector however, that can change at any moment. I currently use creams but I have some of Mike's sample soaps coming my way.

How many hard soaps?
2 - VDH, Willams
I want to try Tabac, Provance Sante.

How many soft soaps?
0

How many shave sticks?
2 - La Toja, Arko

How many creams?
1 - Real Shave Co Moisture
I tried few cream samples that I liked, and I really want to try Palmolive and Barbon next.

I don't have more because I'm saving to upgrade my VDH brush at the moment. La Toja is probably my favorite but my mother is from Spain so I'm a bit biased.

I like the variety, and matching the soap or cream to the particular brush of the day.

I don't really see it as a contest. I just enjoy the differences and subtleties of them all. And I've realized that it's time to get rid of some of them, especially the unused ones.

This is approximate:

soaps 20
creams 37
shave sticks 7

I say approximate because much of what I have is stored where it's difficult to see. I also did not count samples.

I have only been at this for a bit more than 3 months, now, so I'm still "ramping up." However, I do love the different smells and textures of the soaps and creams, and SC/SS is my AD of choice. Smile

How many hard soaps? 3 - Conk Almond, VDH, Mike's Natural Orange

How many soft soaps? 1 - RazoRock Caprician Lemon Artisinal

How many shave sticks? 2 - Arko (4), German Palmolive

How many creams? 2 - TOBS Lemons & Limes, Kiss My Face Cool Mint.

I also have a sample of MWF, which was quite large and I could probably get at least another 4 shaves out of.
I got the 18-scent sampler from Mama Bear.

I had a tube of C. O. Bigelow cream, which I gave away to a friend. The wife is allergic to Eucalyptus.

I actually have not counted but, it is always evolving. I like to keep my rotation at a somewhat manageable level. That said, if you have a spare bowl of Yardley Black Label, please let me know. Cool
