Prep: Warm Shower-Stirling Bath Soap-Scots Pine Sheep
Soap: Van Yulay Oh, Baby!
Razor: Gillette Fat Boy
Blade: Perma-Sharp Super (Shave #3)
Brush: Wild West Brushworks/Elite Razor Manchurian White-24mmx54mm
Aftershave: Stirling Agar w/Menthol

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

Van Yulay Oh, Baby! today. 20 seconds to load the Wild West/Elite Manchurian White brush. Easy, thick, slick, but “slimy” lather. Perma-Sharp Super in the Fat Boy. Smooth, close, but “slimy” shave. I finished with Stirling Agar aftershave.

I guess it's a YMMV thing since Van Yulay is one of my favorite soapmakers.  I've probably got a dozen of their soaps.  The extra butters in the soap base really suit my dry skin especially in the cold winter months.

I agree, the tallow soaps are top tier as far as I'm concerned..  Thumbsup

Was it a stringy sort of slimy? If so, our soap can get like that as well if it doesn't have enough water.

No, more like an oil slick on my razor. It sounds like some of her other formulas perform well though...............
