I had an idea in my mind that I wanted this to be 'new' but also look like I'd used it for years - so I went with a brown distressed leather look.
After dye, I finished it with a hand-rubbed neatsfoot oil treatment.   It's soft, but still holds its shape

I also decided I didn't want any brass or chrome hardware, so I went with a leather toggle and loop closure.

I'm really happy with the way it came out.

Thanks for looking at my project - sure came a long way from where I started!

My wife said .... 'So when are you going to start taking orders?'

I said .... "Sure - I'll just say, 'Send me your razor, wait about a year, and send me bunches of money and I'll see what I can come up with.'" Somehow I don't think many would go for that!   Smile

Wow, Charlie! Your razor case is wonderfully done. Practice and perseverance certainly paid off for you. You should be proud of your accomplishment and super pleased with the result. Thanks for sharing the followup.

That would be a good way to try some new razors. It looks nice. That’s pretty impressive for your first shot at leather working.
