I have written about razor rotation before but with all the new razors entering the field I feel I need to have an update.

For many years I had 2-4 razors in my rotation, If I picked up new razor which usually was a Gillette and liked it the new razor would take the place of a razor that was seldom used. So lets go forward to the last 10 years especially the last 5 and influx of extraordinary razors, SE, DE, Gem and Artist Club. And by the way there doesn't seem to be a slow down of new ones being created.

I'm not going to list the razors I have or have used but only list the razors I'm currently using (by the way at any given time I go back into my inventory of razors and rediscover a razor that was once an old friend).

The razors currently in my rotation are the Tatara OC, Brass Asylum T, BBS1, , ATT SE1, PAA GEM Gold Plate and the CG level 3 SB which is my number 1 go to razor. The blades I use are Polsilver, Gillette Yellows, Feather Super pro and Gem.

As you can see non of these razors are mild except for the PAA Gem which to me is mild. Each one of these razors allows me to feel the blade and gives good feedback so I can obtain the shave I desire. The pleasure of the shaving experience is a good razor (the cost of the razor is of no matter) the feel of the blade, the feed back that is delivered paired with an excellent slick soap puts me in shaving bliss.

What razors are in your rotation today.

Not in any order:
Charcoal goods lvl 3 OC with Hammered Magnum handle in bright finish
Charcoal goods lvl 3 OC with Maze handle in antique finish
Futur Gold Plated
Gillette Red-tip
Timeless 0.95 OC with Maggard Handle
Muhle R-41
Gillette NEW Improved Gold Plated
Gillette Tuckaway.

Then occaisionally I use the Gillette Slim, Gillette Fatboy, or a Gillette Made in England OC travel razor.

Paradigm Ti (the OG)
Wolfman .94 SS dual comb
Wolfman .61 bronze SB
Wolfman .61 Ti OC
Blackland Blackbird OC black oxide
Paradigm 17-4

What kills me about this rotation is the choice. I don't shave everyday- there's nothing routine about my routine. So it always depends on amount of growth I have, the time I have available to shave, and my mood. The Paradigm Ti and Blackbird get the most sink time- but no one can claim neglect.

Shaves much like the Paradigm Ti. Like if the Paradigm Ti gen 1 head geometry was made in SS. The gap and blade feels are similar - to me, likely not reality though.

My pre-Rockwell 6s rotation included a Merkur 34c (90% of the time) with a Standard, Progress, Parker 26c, German Slant and Futur Clone.  Now it's just the 6s.

Right now it's a pre-war Tech and a post-war Tech both with Ming-Shi blades and a OneBlade Genesis with a Feather blade and an Occam's Razor with a Schick Proline Blade.

What important is a PDG+ shave.
