looking around ebay for shave brushes and found a concrete shave cup and very simple shave brush. made by visually impaired.

i'll link to the original company making it.
and a site that sells the products.

not sure I'd get the shave set, but the other brushes are wonderful. best toilet brush I've seen. none of the plastic crap.

yes, that price is steep. I discovered it on eBay for around $30, then went looking to find our more about what it is.

seems high as concrete feels to have lower perceived value than maple, porcelain, chrome and such

it IS a wonderful material to work with, as no kiln needed, has a basic utilitarian feel. somewhat Shaker in approach.

be interesting if the weight and feel has more substance in actual holding.

it is also handmade, designed by a Designer and made in Scandinavia.. and while I consider Sweden to be a cheap place to shop, I think that point of view is more or less unique to us Norwegians - we're one of the most expensive places in the world to live.

It is very appealing, but I couldn't justify for myself. Thanks for sharing.
