I am keen on Gillette Cool Wave.  I just picked up a bottle for $3.99.

I’d probably skip the AS and just use Thayers Witch Hazel. It’s easy to find locally and pretty cheap.

AOS balms are in my top 3, even outside your "readily available" criteria so I have to vote for that since they have stores all over the USA.

From pharmacies, I like Clubman if you like the scent, and also Harry's post shave balm from Target.

I've always wondered about that stuff, now I know to pick one up next time i'm there. Target also now has the Duke Cannon products, I picked up the 'Big Brick Soap' bar and the Ice Cold After Shave and both are really nice

I've been very curious about the Pacific Shaving Co, caffeinated after shave balm, I'll give it a try.
I like here Clubman, Aqua Velva, Witch Hazel and Humphrey's Withch Hazel with Bay Rum.

Same here, will make sure to grab Pacific Shaving next time at Target. Also like Clubman and Aqua Velva, but not so keen on witch hazel.

I like clubman, AV, and old spice now that i figured out how to get a more classic scent with the new old spice  stuff. I basically use about a quarter of what I normally would, wait fifteen minutes re apply, and i get a few hours of that classic old spice scent. If i just use it as i normally would i would end up with a heavy chemical floral scent more like a womens scent would lean towards. When I make it to dollar general I get a bottle or two of barbasol brisk. My favorite is probably a toss up of aqua velva and clubman.

I'd rather go without than use drug store AS. But don't fault anyone for finding a deal if in a pinch.

I swear by Nivea. This balm has done wonders for me. It's gotten ride of most of my ingrown hairs and it really moisturizes my skin.

Got mine on Amazon.

I'm going to have to go with this answer. It's just too easy to get other products these days via the internet. Of course, as we always say in the wet shaving community, YMMV and a lot of guys like the drug store products, all of which have been around a while.

I also like and use Aqua Velva Ice Blue. But Pinaud Clubman is my favorite. Nevertheless, with so many great aftershaves available on Amazon, eBay and many other sites, pretty much every scent is readily available at our fingertips.

My favorite too. That’s an AS I always have in my den.

My son-in-law used to swear by witch hazel? He was meticulous about his shaves as well. Maybe I missed the boat on this one?

Witch hazel is part of my post shave routine:

Alum block
Witch hazel
AS splash
