just bought this nice Stainless Steel adjustable and, after trying for a couple of days, find they don't satisfy my admittedly fussy criteria. the REX Ambassador is a more available SS adjustable from Razor Emporium and is very nicely made and a smooth shaver but I could see they wouldn't make it into my normal rotation (Kirby-Beard, Leresche 77, L'Essor, Personna micromatic).

asking price for REX is $200.00 plus shipping to CONUS. If anyone is interested, PM me and we'll go from there.

I would say the Rocnel is similar to the L'Essor - both smooth and with good weight. Both shorter handles whereas the REX is a longer handle.
I would pick the L'Essor over either of these but not by a big margin. Some of the older razors, particularly, the earlier French razors are hard to beat.
