The Semogue 2018 TSN LE brush was released in the USA yesterday.  Some of these brushes will be getting to their new owners today and tomorrow.  I expect this brush will generate a lot of posts, and it makes sense to gather all those posts in one place.  Therefore, please post all of your reviews, comments and photos regarding the brush in this thread.

Thanks.

It sounds like there is the possibility of the brush being offered in boar.

I received mine today, but I'm not that far away from Bullgoose. I haven’t taken the time to open it. I still have yet to use my Paladin TSN LE shaving brush.

This is true...we are discussing a release in boar. There will not be any more two band brushes with this handle...it was a limited run of 100 brushes.

Have not use it, but #46 arrived about 30 minutes ago.  Lovely brush.  Someone with a better camera than my cellphone can post some better pictures.

No. 30 arrived today. Some pics below - also in comparison to the Thäter 82 handle.

First impressions are very positive: Palm lather reveals a knot with very soft tips (!!). This is a medium dense knot with very fine hair that should provide great flow. The handle is comfortable to hold and the faux tortoise looks good. I am not sure the Semogue label will last long, as it started to peel off already after the first lather (the label on the 2013 Olive Wood LE is holding strong still).

I will give her a few uses before comparing her to the Thäter.

The semogue sticker from my brush ( no 78 ) is starting to peel off as well. The brush has very soft tips.

First face lather this morning: Knot has great flow though as expected. Hair has presence but soft tipped without scritch. Perfectly sized for face lathering. Knot has nice resilience while not being stiff. Will also make a great travel companion. Good collaboration by Bullgoose and Semogue!

Number 51 arrived yesterday. Beautiful brush right out of the not so impressive box (Semogue boxes aren't all that great). The knot is luxuriously soft; well centered in the handle, which BTW has some wonderful iridescence. Interesting comments so far about the label. I prefer engraved labeling and if this one comes off, I won't cry about it.
The engraving on the bottom is nice, but difficult to read. Palm lathered three times to remove the badger funk, of which there was some. Handle ergonomics are comfortable.
I like this brush a lot and congratulate and thank Phil for making this and the other TSN LE items available. The planning must be extensive and I for one am grateful that we have such a terrific forum, members and opportunities such as this one.
Definitely looking forward to this morning's shave.  Biggrin

Don't know what happened to my response.  Doubt

Thanks Ricardo,

The handle is gorgeous; and that's from a guy, who doesn't normally go for 'non-traditional" colors.

Just finished my first shave with the LE and I am truly pleased. The knot shed a few hairs last night with the 3 palm lathers. Today, none.
The knot is luxuriously soft---not a hint of scritch. Loaded the XXX like a champ and the face lather rivaled the finest brushes in my den. Indeed, I like this brush much better than the M6 Manchurian of a few years back. Superb in every way. I look forward to reading others' feedback. Great job again Phil!!

Great looking brushes, seems like the performance matches the looks.
Kindof a bummer that the labels are already starting to peel off so quickly, I’m sure it’s not the end of the world for you lucky owners but would probably be nice if it at least didn’t happen right away.
