I managed to snag a 100-count box of these off of eBay early this morning for twenty-nine dollars plus shipping and handling.  I was quite fortunate to obtain them, since I am given to understand that these would be the Polish-made blades before Gillette shifted production to its St. Petersburg plant in Russia.

So yeah, who else has managed to get a hold of these?

Are you sure these are Polish? More modern ones are in the market. Good blades indeed.

I'm fairly sure they are, yeah.  Weren't they folded into the PolSilver line by Gillette when they were moved over to the St. Petersburg factory?

I have the same and Polsilver as well and both are made in St. Petersburg's factory.

As I understand it, when Proctor & Gamble bought out Wizemet they merged it with PolSilver (another popular Polish label), in the move to their Russian factory.  So now it's PolSilver Super Iridium.  If it still has an older Wizamet package, chances are good it is one of the Polish-made batches.

I think you will be disappointed when you read the packaging.
Then happy again when you use them.

Well, if they're as good as the PolSilver Super Iridium I used last night, I won't complain. Wink

1. This is not former Wizamet package.
2. Polsilver this not another polish label (another blades Factory), this is only product name
3. After moving the production to Russia, Wizamet was still in business as Gilpol S.A. (Gillette Poland S.A.) ... only few months  Biggrin

Same experience for me as well. I was hoping for Polish blades that I heard about. Got these blades (St. Petersburg), and I love them.

Well darn!  Oh well.  I'd hoped...

Now, someone had sent me a couple of Super Iridium blades as part of a sampler pack.  I opened up one the other night and used it for the first time, and again this morning.  Closest, smoothest shave I've gotten yet from safety blades, much more so than the Astra Superior Platinum, and no nicks or irritation whatsoever.  Niiiice!
