Matt, are you banking on TFS being the next "Bitcoin"?
Speculating on the Shave Soap Stock Exchange ?

I entered the wetshaving scene when talks of reformulation and discontinuation were rampant. While I don't think that's a risk for TFS, it is engrained in my thinking (which maybe I need to revisit some day Smile ).
But for now, I shall stock up for the Shaveapocalypse.

It is a sound and reasonable approach....... Sisi

I was really big on TFS for many years. I was able to buy some small selections but nice ones from Phil at one time. The fragrances were my favorite and the ones they actually made were a few that were done with Joe. Anyways, I was able to find more protective shaves with soaps I found later. They do make a very nice coconut and stearic dual lye soaps. Again though, the aromas of Tcheon Fung Sing are very nice, damn nice I say!

I like the smell, like summer and lemonade.... Rolleyes
Lathers nice, I bloomed and used my SV brush b/4 it broke... Sad
Easy lather, pleasant scent, slick, has a nice face feel after shave. 8.4 oz. container, pretty low price. Overall a verrry nice croap... Thumbup

I have quite a few TFS soaps and I  usually like them a lot.
This was however a disappointment, the scent was so weak, it was essentially unscented.
I wonder if this 70th anniversary formula is still made, after over 5 years,  or was it old stock which would explain the weak scent.

I have tried a few of them. Performance is similar to most Razorock soaps I have had, which means a bit on the mediocre side. Scents were weak, meaning a 4/10.

Tfs done PantaRei Soap, for me.
It’s an incredible mix of orchid, citrus, chocolate, vanilla ... and contains Sicilian manna, directly from the mountains that surround my city, Palermo.

then personal tastes, impose that not all productions can satisfying.. if it were so we would have only all good soaps Smile))

They are widely underestimated soaps, they definitely deserve more glory! nice soaps they are!

IMHO, Italy has better soaps to be proud of.

Also, they are being sold at a price where in the US you can find excellent performing soaps, we have some great artisans here.

There were a handful of TFS soaps that were on the lighter side of scent. A couple I remember was the blue traditional line tub in "sandalwood" which doesn't do sandalwood much justice. The di Vino was a nice smelling one but to my nose was very strong. Another line that was a bit mild in scent was the Barber di Figaro made soaps I had. But there are plenty of stronger smelling TFS branded soaps.

TFS was the first soap I built an inventory of.  I have untouched pucks of Tabacco Verdi, Bergamotto Neroli and Zegara Gelsomino.  I miss my tub of their lavender scented soap made with hazelnut oil.

Has anyone used Extró soaps?
I have not. But they too appear to be made by TFS, though I am just judging by the ingredients and a hunch.

...on that note, TFS makes soaps for these brands:

Mondial
Barbiere di Figaro
Razorock
Abbate y La Mantia
Extró *
Tcheon Fung Sing (obviously)

I feel like I'm missing one or two but can't think... Maybe that is everyone.

I have not yet tried the Abbate y La Mantia line...but I've tried most of the others and I can say that the Mondial Supreme line is excellent.  Strong, very nice scents with excellent performance.  These are the Mondial Nobilis, Florence, 908 line.  I believe they are the top of the line for TFS with perhaps the Abbate line also being top.

I've been considering the Tobacco Verde for some time.  The same scent is also available in a Mondial cream, but I don't know who makes that.

My order from Mondial arrived from Italy yesterday. I'm very pleased with all the scents. Luckily none of them smell like a doctor's office Smile

Maybe some folks would say they are too light but for me I enjoy the level of scent they're at. The quality of the scents is evident.

I used the Pluminio Balsamico just a moment ago and the performance is top class.

Long wait for the delivery but that's no problem here... I had others to keep me busy Wink
