G.entlemen,

My humble shave den is almost overrun by a parade of sassy and sweet synthetic brushes. So I would like to pass on the bigger ones, since these days I prefer smaller brush brushes and knots. These are all in superb shape. All are fabulous lather makers. If you've never tried a synthetic brush, here is your chance. Or if you are a synthetic brush devotee, it never hurts to get another one. The prices include U.S. shipping. U.S. sales only, please. Paypal is fine. No trades, please. Thanks.

The Envy Shave's 8 Ball synthetic brush is absolutely delicious in the 25mm Black Wolf knot. The loft is, I think, around 57mm. I love this brush; however, I have a smaller version of it (not called 8 Ball) that suits me a wee bit better. This brush has zero glue bump, minimal backbone, although the knot is far from floppy. It's a silky tips will spoil you for many other synthetic brushes. With shipping, the brush cost around $85. Your price is $50.   SOLD

Doug Korn's synthetic brushes are exceptional in every way. This one is, for sure. The Ubersoft knot, I believe, is 25 or 26mm, with a loft of about 55 or 56mm. The handle is tortoise (more close to natural) on the bottom and faux ivory on top. This is a really a sweet brush, with almost non-existent glue bump, dense knot and soft tips. I like this brush a lot, and would have loved it had been a wee bit smaller, maybe around 24mm knot with a slight shorter handle. Anyway, the brush cost around $130. Your price is $75  $65  $50 shipped.  WITHDRAWN

The Edwin Jagger Synthetic Silvertip XL (25 X 58) V2 is absolutely delicious. Minimal glue bump, modest backbone, lovely splay and silky tips make this brush a must if you like big synthetic knots. I think it cost me around $60 shipped. Your price is $40  SOLD

This is the Rick Montalvo handle, a beauty at that, that I had re-knotted with a 25mm or 26mm Tuxedo. It has a dense knot, good backbone and soft tips. I would put the loft at about 55mm or so. It is really a sweet brush, making monster lather, and the handle sits perfectly in the hand. The brush is just a little too big for me. With the re-knotting, my total cost for this brush has been around $100. Your price is $50.  SOLD

Gentlemen,

I have reduced the price on the Doug Korn brush to $55 shipped U.S. This is a sweet brush with a dense Ubersoft knot that is soft on the face and has near zero glue bump. Get it while it's hot.

Thanks. Yes, it is quite handsome. I know the person who purchased the brush will have a treat.

It's always such a pleasure to peer into Obie's shave den. Really great items, as always. And that view in the background!

Gary, my friend,
Thanks for the kind words. The remaining brush, the Doug Korn Ubersoft, feels very much like a silvertip badger brush. It's about as sweet as they get. I've been reluctant to let it go, and were it not for being a slightly large brush for me, I would have kept it. Well, I'll give it a final day and then return it to the rack.
