I've read that Shavemac makes the knots for Thater brushes. Is this true?

No. Thater makes their own knots.
Shavemac provides most of the handles.

I certainly don’t know this, but I suspect they may share a supply source for badger hair as well. I've found that Thäter and Shavemac knots feel very, very similar. And both are among the very best and most consistent knots in the industry.

I believe Shavemac makes all Thäter handles up to 30 mm.

Thäter ties their own knots. And so does Shavemac.

I also believe Shavemac and Thäter source their badger hair from the same supplier.
