I just traded for a 2011 unused LE Semogue Caravela, and need some opinions.
Should I use it or keep it as trade fodder?
I like my boars and my 2-band Badgers, but mixed? I don't know about that...
I'll post pics when I get it. It's coming from Greece.
Thanks,
Matt

No problem, Nick.
I used to have one and they are lovely brushes, but I found the knot too small so I sold it as I preferred larger 2-Band badger knots.
Matt, I doubt you'll find the knot as nice as your higher-end badger brushes, but you would have to decide on that.
Personally, I would not use it and I would keep it NOS so you can sell it later on.
Good luck.

I got a 26mm mixed knot from maggards.
It is pretty darn good, you just need a nice handle and time to experiment with a loft that suits you.
FWIW, i used to have a Semogue 2012 LE.
It wasa nice brush with a terrific handle, but i never warmed up to the knot itself and eventually sold it.

If it's unused, that would be a difficult decision for me.
Thanks Gents!
I was told by the seller that it is NOS, so maybe I'll keep it in that condition for a trade or sale later on. Quite Tempting to see what all the fuss is about, though!
Decisions, Decisions...haha

I have tried two and both had firm backbone, scrubby and slightly scritchy tips. I didn't care for either.
