Been meaning to ask if anyone else has tried her premium soaps.

Lisa sells it as a Premium Shaving Soap, but it's really a cream.  Excellent cushion, glide, post-shave and scent (I have the Black Velvet which to my nose has a smell of both tobacco leaf and flower), plus its a Tallow soap!

I’m on a two-week vacation, and the only soaps/creams I brought were a couple of tubs of Lisa’s Premium Shaving Soap. I haven’t tried her standard soap, but the premium is one of my favorites. And inexpensive. The Florida Freeze flavor is perfect for Maui weather.

I used some last night and found it to be very conditioning. Excellent scent strength (I used amber and tobacco). I also bought a sample of the hard puck and that was good in performance, although less intensely so than the cream.

I’m still getting used to how the cream lathers, however. I found it to not take much water before it loses performance.

I have the Amber & Tobacco, which I agree has a great scent. I never use the same soap more than once every several weeks when home, but I’m finding it’s easy to dial in Lisa’s when using it every day. The Florida Freeze and Coconut Oud are performing best for me when I add a bit more water than I think I should.

Today’s lather was so awesome I decided to buy two more tubs—Black Velvet and Somali Rose. It’s tough to beat $25 (shipped) for 6 oz of a world-class cream/soap.

To me $25 is still kinda expensive even for 6 ounces of soap.

When you factory cost + shipping for most of the better artisans, her price per ounce is pretty much in line.

I just ordered the Black Velvet myself the other day,  plus a hard puck sample. Her stuff is on sale currently. If the premium soap is a cream I wonder how long it will last? For only 3 oz. it may not be a bargain.

It only takes a tiny amount to make a huge lather, so expect my jar to last a long time!

Thanks. Do you load from the jar or scoop some out?

Great soap! Only negative is that the pucks seem to have more clay in them, noticed this on my skin post-shave.

I just twirl my brush in the jar to pick a little up, then straight to my face. Drags for maybe 5 seconds, than starts lathering up nicely!

It’s not a puck of soap - it’s creamy similar to Art of Shaving. A little dab will do ya.

The clay does seem to be a tiny bit drying. But overall it’s a very very nice shaving cream.

I just got a tub of cream and a sample puck in and tried them right away. Puck on one side of my face and cream on the other. New Voshkod blade. Fatboy on 7. There so close to me I can't say which is best but I really like them. I will order some more right away since it's on sale.

I hate these threads, as I'm always a sucker for a new soap, especially when it's on sale. I also like creams, and decided to order a couple, Amber & Tobacco and Coconut Oud. I look forward to giving them a try. I also ordered a bath soap, although she's sold out of most scents I was interested in.

Signs011 , I ordered a tin and some AS balm, nothing like a new croap and balm while I social distance or otherwise hunker down.

I’m new to Lisa’s soaps.  Seems like great reviews and they’re on sale!
I’m all about BIG scents.  Really don’t enjoy mild scented soaps or AS.  Those of you who are familiar...Are Lisa’s items loud scents?
Pete
