1. Valobra/ AOS-t/ C&S
2. Tcheon Fung Sing, RR, Abbate Y La Mantia, et al.
3. Crabtree & Evelyn (vintage)
4. WSP/ASW (creams moreso than soaps which are already great)
5. If my first shave with it wasn't a fluke, then PAA (and I cannot believe I'm saying that).
I used The Beach the other day and the scent and performance we're both FANTASTIC. One of the easiest shaves in recent memory. And the skin felt fantastic afterward.
I ordered a few more over the weekend, so I'm hoping it was not a fluke!!!!

1) Le savon des Volcans - for some reason this soap really works well for me
2) Wholly Kaw - King of Oud
3)Stirling - Bay Rum at the moment
4)Grooming Dept. Amber & Oud
5)BM or Declaration - probably give it to BM by virtue of scent only.
All are really close but Volcans would be my #1 the rest a close 2nd.

Granted, my experience with soaps is still limited, but here are the ones I've tried or have en route to me, in order of purchase/gifting/use:
Soaps -
1. Williams
2. Van Der Hagen Luxury
3. D.R. Harris Marlborough
4. Van Der Hagen Deluxe
5. Tabac
There was a local soap puck I bought a couple of years ago that was Bay Rum scented and had Bentonite clay in the formula, that I used after the Williams but before the Van Der Hagen. I don't include it in the list because I don't remember the name.
Creams -
1. Taylor of Old Bond Street (Almond)
2. Taylor of Old Bond Street (Mr. Taylor's)

I'm a straight razor user. Slick is important to all SR users,. I also want a soap that rinses clean and doesn't clog drains, pores, or leave scum on the shaving tools.
In no particular order:
ABC , cream or hard soap

I Coloniali Mango
Valobra/AOS-t/Czech abd Speake

Cheers, Steve
