I don't have enough experience to give a meaningful top 5, but based on the shave I just had with Mike's Natural Soaps, I'd have to put it up there.  So, in no particular order:

-Mikes
-Castle Forbes
-CRSW
-Sudsy Soapery
-eShave

I probably have enough soap to last a lifetime, but I still want to try Wholly Kaw (DM), and Oleo Soapworks.  To me, the soap is the best part of shaving.

Wanted to come back to this thread to give an honorable mention to Sudsy Soapery.  I like this soap more the more I use it.  It's very soft, so I scoop some out into the lather bowl.  Works beautifully.

No way I can choose just five but I will say my vintage Yardleys are my best. That much I know but I have many tied for second, from expensive ones like Boellis Panama and Pannacreama Nuavia Blu and vintage Pen's tallow English Fern to Tabac and MWF and vintage AoS tallow Sandalwood and Lavender. My vintage Crabtree & Evelyn Nomad and Sierra are on the list as well. There are others I'm sure.

Cream favorite would be Fitjar Islands.  Plan to try their soap.

Old as I am I tend to forget things but using my Valobra this morning jarred my memory.
