The ones I've used, I bloom with hot water and all are easy to face lather in my opinion...….so far... Shy
I have not used, Mirto Di Sardegna (Tomorrows Choice), Opuntia & Manna Di Sicilia on Monday & Tuesday.

OK, OK....Today was my first use of Mirto Di Sardegna. Another great soap.... Number_one
These guys know how to DO IT! The scent is nice, as always it's original.
I don't know if they work hard to make a great soap and the scent just happens
due to the ingredients or do they work equally hard to make that subtle scent.
So many others are like, Peruvian Night Orchid with a hint of Norwegian pine.
Not SV, it's whatever it is, nice , clean....no slap in the face, it just takes the room.
Something nice is here, can you find it. Cool

Roy, in my experience there are a few that may load up easier due to the softness and formation and then there are a few that assemble the lather rather quickly with the right ratio of water.

The ones I could recommend for easy use would be Dolomiti, Stella Alpina and Opuntia. I have adjusted to some of the softer consistency soaps but have been trying to load a bit less lately. It has helped using the same soap without rotation.

Myrtle of Sardegna is very nice in many senses. I really appreciate the scent a lot! But the lather protection and post shave are even more appreciated. I probably will get another shave or 2 with Stella Alpina and then move over to Dolomiti or Tundra Artica next. Glad you are enjoying your SV soaps.

Today I tried the Opuntia. The scent is the mildest of the five SV I've  used to date.
But it lathers like a champ. 20 seconds on the clock gave me this.

Everything else on quality of shave is just what you get with SV..... Number_one

I love the Opuntia, and the matching aftershave is great as well! The flying mango is no slouch either!

Someone above mentioned Mitchell’s Wool Fat...I might use that today! I don’t use it enough!

Got Cosmo now and beats any SV as my favourite. Unusual coffee sort of scent which may not sound appealing, but is really nice. Glide and protection outstanding as is skin feel at all stages.

The maker really knows what makes a good soap. However, he suggests loading the brush for thirty seconds. Cosmo ,at least, needs much less for three passes, although I only need two plus touch up.

Hmmmm....that might have to go on the list. A morning shave with a coffee fragrance sounds good!

Has anyone had the chance to compare the newer “grey” Dolomiti to the black?

I have only had the grey. It was the first SV soap for me and it lathered so easily and impressed me without a doubt.

After loading my brush, there is some thin foamy soap over the surface of the puck. This makes a really wonderful pre shave when rubbed over your face prior to shaving.  Wet your face first with warm water,  then apply this lovely thin cream,  then face lather.

Roy, for me, the flying mango lathers easier than the others.  Ranking by scent, the fern is my favorite smelling soap period.

I was wondering if there would be mention of Cosmo in this thread.  Based on scent only, Cosmo is my favorite of the 4 SVs that I've had.
