Mike's is indeed a classic.  I've had a number of his scents in my rotation over the years, and am currently on my second tub of his vetiver.

It is my favorite soap out of all the soaps I have ever tried, and that is saying something as I have tried an awful lot of them!

Mike's was the first artisan soap I tried over five years ago. I've now tried hundreds of other soaps, and Mike's is still my gold standard.

I only recently tried Mikes. Wish I had discovered it sooner. Definitely one of my favorites.

The OP has a great shave setup there: Mike’s OC&BP, fine l’orange noir, and a butterscotch paladin!

Mike’s Naturals soap is really an intruiging success story. No fancy packaging (though he recenty moved to plastic tubs), simple but agreeable scents, and an unchanging formula that provides great shaves. Mike’s is ‘old reliable’ for me, I certainly have more of his pucks than any other soap.

Agreed!  Mike's is one of the 1st soaps I tried, and I still love shaving with his soaps.  Top-notch all the way!

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I’ve tried dozens of artisan and and non-artisan shave soaps. Mike’s is peerless - best shave soap I’ve ever used.

Nice looking shave; I got my first tub recently and I plan on getting more in the near future.

+1.

I have not seen any fancy marketing gimmicks from this brand, no change in base, but still performs at par with any brand in my den. This plastic tub could be a great move as people had complained about rust on the tins earlier.

Completely agree here and they don’t go with these funky bases and funky scents or fancy packaging. Just a solid tried and true classic that stands the test of time at a fantastic price. Mike’s is definitely in my top 5 soaps and I don’t see that changing anytime soon!

Like others, Mike's is my baseline for what a good artisan soap should be like. Solid, dependable, and usually sold out Tongue

One of my favorites! I think this is the first I'm seeing photos of the PET tub and new label.

I agree with everyone! Mikes is simply EXCELLENT!! My #1 soap is Stirling & my #2 soap is Mikes. Both soaps have a lot in common like great ingredients, great cushion and glide, great slickness, very good post shave, great selection on scents and to make these two great soaps even more unbelievable they are both very affordable! What more can you ask for from two great soap companies.

Happy Shaving!

I get as good lather from quite a few other brands, in terms of glide and protection, but where I find Mike’s shine, is on skin feel. It’s just sooooo smooth on the skin, and regardless of painting or swirling, I’m always taken by the soothing feel it gives.

Yep... Mikes and CRSW are the only two artisans I have any interest in. Both are stand up guys that make excellent soap.

Always loved Mike’s. Been a customer since his early days in Brooklyn.

But Mike’s improved even more for me after I watched Nathan’s video. Nathan’s technique got me to enjoy Mike’s to its fullest potential
