Just thought I'd let the community know we made a video to shed some light on the Gillette Toggle Adjustable Series. Check it out here:

Fantastic video! I had no idea that the 1-5 Toggle mechanism was more or less silent. This was extremely helpful for me in betting understanding how mine works. Thanks for the great video!

I wasn't quite old enough to need one of those in 1960, but I do remember the razors and various Gillete presentation cases in stores. Thanks for the video, I really enjoyed it.

Matt,

Very nice video and history lesson on Gillette. Maybe you should send a copy to them to remind them of what they once was and what they could be again, if they wanted to.

They're well aware of what they used to make, just have no records of it! They contacted us when they needed razors / information / logos on this advertisement for Men's Health / Sports Illustrated ad:

Interestingly the one that has a "fixed toggle" that only goes one way, was intentionally created as a rinsing position. Illustrated below.

I can understand why they switched it to be able to do it both ways because one wouldn't have to make sure the toggle lever was in the right position.
