It is better than my Simpson’s Best Chubby 2 and right there with Paladin and M&F. Paladin and M&F have a little stiffer backbone even with a higher loft however the Maseto has a good backbone due to the low loft and 2 band. Badger hair quality is on par with Paladin and M&F and just as dense or maybe denser. Are the Paladins and M&F $150 better? I would say no!
I don’t have a Declaration Grooming knot to compare it with but I have one coming.

I find they compare favorably, but I can't say I'd never but another Paladin or Simpson brush.
I have 5 Maseto brushes, but only 2 of them were extraordinary, the other 3 reminded me of cheap knockoffs like early Frank Shaving...high glue bumps, floppy knots and not nearly dense enough.
The two that outperform the price are an extra dense Chubby style I got direct, and one I bought off eBay that looks like a 1/3 in Faux Ivory. I paid about $170 for all of them shipped from China and got two superb brushes.
All in all, I would have preferred better QC, but it is what it is. My kids play with 2 of them, and my wife uses one for her legs so all is not lost.
Overall a very pleasant outcome for the money spent. Try them if you haven't. I can't guarantee an outstanding brush right off, but money for value certainly is there.
Cheers!

Agreed with the above. They are excellent brushes for the money, and I have several, with another on the way, but I would not sell any of my other high end brushes on their account. Generally speaking high end brushes have more natural hair, whereas the Maseto brushes tend to have "over treated" hair. I know some favor the "hooked tip" effect, but its something I shy away from.

Thank you for your impressions , sir.
Could it be that Maseto gets the same badger knots than Paladin and M&F ? Well , I wouldnt be surprised if thats the case (which I think it is).

Maseto hair is very different from the hair used by Paladin and M&F/Sears. The closest hair quality wise is DG B5. I got a 26mm knot, the hair is wonderful, The knot construction is terrible. It's the one they're selling on eBay 26/65. Sadly the glue bump is too high. To get a 50mm loft, the brush ends up with an effective loft of 43-45mm which also prevents it from splaying and is a lather hog. Higher loft didn't help either.

Let me ask you , does Maseto sells silvertip brushes too ? Have you tried them by any chance ?

They do offer silvertip brushes, not knots. My experience is limited to their finest 26/65 knot. I'mo going to order a silvertip knot from DSCOSMETIC on Aliexpress. I like the length of the knot 28/75.

I have 5 Maseto brushes of differing handle and knot configurations that are in my regular rotation of 20 brushes. I think they are fantastic for the price. One word of caution...in my experience these brushes need extra latherings due to odour, but that's never caused an issue IMO.
I'm especially fond of the the style 1 clones and I own them in ebony, ivory and faux horn. Just perfect renditions, IMO.
