I'm thinking of buying the AOS lemon soap. If anyone has tried it, can you tell me what you think of it? I'm buying the soap not the cream.

Thanks

The old tallow soap base is one of the best out there.  The lemon scent however is very mild, at least the puck that I have.
The sandalwood scent will blow your socks off though.
I've never tried the new soap base though, but I understand that it's a limp reproduction of the original.

Why do you want to buy just Lime? Erik (above) is right. Very poor scent. I have bowl and pucks as well. Btw. Lavender is the same.

I'll talk you BACK into it. I love it. Magnificent soap. Yes, the scent is subtile, but, so what? I have 6 pucks in my stash and one that's in the rotation. Try one!

Some guys say the new version is not that good. What do you say?

I won't have the new version in my den. ONLY the old Tallow formula.

I have a few of all three tallow versions. Great, great soaps but none of them are strong, or even moderately scented.

While I agree that the old formula is superior, I find the new formula to work very well. Also agree with the other comments, AoS Lemon is not a very strong scent, but it is definitely a pleasant one.

I don't think very many soaps have a strong scent. The only one that comes to mind is TOBS Sandalwood.

AOS old and new is worth trying and something I always seem to keep in my den.   Not the strongest, not the best comfort shave, but I simply like it.

CRSW citrus is my favorite lemon.

I am always looking for a new lemon ... probably collected them all.

I love Arko. Just a hint of lemon. It's like Ivory soap on steroids.

I haven't used it in a long time, but I like Arko in the red tub.  It's unjustly maligned.  However, from what I recall about the scent, I would not characterize it as a lemon scent.  Perhaps some of you can detect a lemon note that I don't.

CRSW's Glide in Morning Ghost does not have any citrus essential or fragrance oils.  However, it has a definite lemon scent.  If you like lemon shaving soap, you should definitely try this one.

If you want Lemon the 3 I would suggest are

-B&M Limon (its not a true lemon smell but performs great!)

-Stirling Lemon (smells great and like an actual lemon I just got a sample of the aftershave recently)

Myrsol recently came out with a Lemon shave soap
