Recently received the Yaqi Red/Black OC along with a Yaqi Moka 24 mm Synthetic Brush via AliExpress (China). The razor has been said to be a knock off of the PAA DOC razor which you can tell from the picture is similar looking. Since I had a DOC I can say the shave is like it. It has a double comb like the PAA but the handle is much different. What you get is a zinc DLC head which comes in several other colors and a DLC brass handle which is very comfortable to hold. The blade alignment is perfect and the razor will not clog. I did a very enjoyable two pass shave using a Personna Platinum blade. Extremely close with zero irritation. The brushes can be obtained in the USA but the razors and heads only from China via Aliexpress. Shipping time took under a week which is incredible. Yaqi also makes a head they call the "Beast" which I might try someday.

I've got several of their heads and the quality is amazing. Excellent quality and manufacturing and thick chrome coat without any defect. Value for money heads. Their badgers are good - don't like their synthetics too much a bit too springy backbone. This mocha handle badger is in the mail Smile

This is not badger.  I see it as 24mm Moka synthetic, similar to AP Shave SynBad

Im a big fan of Yaqi.  Ive got a few of them brushes and a few of their razors.  Their stuff is top notch, IMO.  Id put my less than $20 Yaqis up against any $200 brush and be confident that they could do just as good of a job.

They are excellent brushes. And the razor is not too shabby either.

Ive got a couple of their Mellon heads (DOC clone) and theyre OK.  I find that they have a bit too much blade feel for me but theyre good shavers and you certainly cant beat them for the money.

I never thought that I would like a synthetic brush, but these 3 changed my mind.
They look good and for the price you can't beat them. [Image: fec8285538891795d8bd5e67ca86715f.jpg][Image: 0a5613d6dd0a11e87a424574dc8f9e62.jpg]
