Without thinking about specific soaps, do you tend to favor certain scent families?  Has this changed from when you began to wet shave?

I have been wet shaving for just over three months so my timeline from beginning to the current time is really short but I already see this being the case.

I have really taken a liking to rose scented soaps and other florals when I was not really sure they would be my cup of tea.

Speaking of florals... I'm a bit shocked at the lack of high quality, straight floral scents available. More often than not they're diluted with other scents. Best one I've had is AoS Rose Absolute, but of course that's been discontinued for quite a while now.

I like all kinds....except menthol things. Rose, lavender, complicated blends, not crazy for lime.

speaking of cup of tea...could a shaving soap have an English/Irish breakfast tea scent?

I like citrus scents of all kinds, and I like florals, too. Floral mixed with citrus is good.  I'm ok with green scents. I'm not a fan of smoke or leather.

I'm allergic to cedar so that rules or a lot of scents for me.

I don't think I've found a bergamot, or lavender, scent I haven't enjoyed.

I prefer simpler scents with one or two main notes, as opposed to complex blends. I'm not sure if that counts as a scent family. Lavender, sandalwood, rose, almond, etc.

My favorite scent family has to be Citrus: CRSW limenthol, Mike’s OC&BP, chiseled face orange creamsicle, Mike’s lemongrass & eucalyptus, reef Point Admirality, CRSW Citrus, Sapone Di Paolo Arrancione, etc.

I'm a citrus fan...have lots of them.

Tough to pick one to use though since they are all nice.

A few favorites are:

Mdc agrumes,
Oleo melonade,
Mike's orange,
And Dr Jon's Hydra.

Usually citrus floral. I am fine with some deeper notes and colognes that are bolder or more complex.

Im itching to use a solid performing soap for my face that has citrus and floral notes.
