The Chichester. Briarwood resin, with a 26mm Super Badger Hybrid knot.

Very nice.  The Chichester is one of Brad's handles which does not get the attention it deserves.  It's a classically elegant shape, and the briarwood is a beautiful resin.

Brad's 3 band Super knots are excellent (better than his older three band Specials). Here is my Arley. The top is ebony resin and the bottom is Nachtgras Ebonite.

His 28mm bulb knots are absolutely insane! "Brick of Badger" as Uncle Dubya once said, and I can't get enough of em!

Appreciate all the kind words! To. Answer the question, that’s one of our Arleys with an English Butterscotch handle under a Tortoiseshell ferrule.

Is there any way to identify what batch your knot is from if you buy a Brad Sears second hand? He lists the properties, but it doesn't look like there's serial numbers or anything like that for traceability?

The best way is to reach out to us directly via the green "Contact Us" tab found in the lower left-hand corner of each page of our website.  Because the majority of our brushes are made to order (thus often unique), we can usually tell from a reasonable photo of the brush.  (If we're not able to positively identify the brush, we will reach back for more information.)

Stay safe!

Here is another beauty from Brad.  Made from ebonite, this "Gus" has a 28mm 3 band super bulb knot.

Gus is my favorite handle shape and like his 3 band knots. Good choices.
