If it came down to using only one company’s soap, which soap company would you use?

I’ve tried the newest and greatest soap offerings, GD, WK, Declaration Grooming (L&L), and T&S. However, I keep picking Stirling soaps to shave with 3-4 times a week. I don’t get a superior shave from the newer soaps and have been thinking about only using Stirling’s soap for the rest of my life. I don’t think I’d be missing out on anything either.

As long as the soap is formulated correctly, the soap will perform superbly.  I use products from other companies to enjoy their scent combinations and fragrances.

We're fortunate to have so many excellent soaps available.  I can think of several soap makers who I could be fine with exclusively. If I had to pick just one, my choice today would be JabonMan.

I think my choice would be MdC. But I'm glad I don't have to make the choice.

I agree with you. I think Stirling is still underrated but it's been my #1 soap for the past 3 years. It's excellent. My second choice is Mikes which is still a solid all around performer for me.

Without a doubt, Saponificio range. Superlative performance. Enough versions to last years .

+1.  There are many soapmakers out there who make a soap that will give you an excellent shave.  Scent (and presentation) are the current criteria for "best" IMO.

And while I love and use pretty much everyone of the soap makers mentioned so far, B&M wins for me based on what he does with scent profiles.

Wow - hard choice.

Of the top of my head, I would go with either Eufros, MdC or SV, but also really do enjoy some of the American artisans (WK, CRSW, B&M, Stirling).  Not sure I could whittle down to just one.

Without a doubt CRSW. While on the subject the new Select with goat milk is superb. I didn't think it could get any better but it did!

It’s not my top rated soap, but for widest variety of excellent scents with outstanding performace I’d go with Stirling. I’d never be bored, never lack for performance and never feel like I was stuck in one lane. Having said that, if you said I only had one shave left I’d pick GD Coattails in the new Lusso base. Possibly my favorite 1 soap ever.
