I have a Kent BK2 that I use less frequently than my other brushes. I notice that the hairs in the middle of the brush get tangled. Has anybody else had this happen? It never happens with my Frank silvertip.

Is it possible to see a photo of the problem?

Longer lofted brushes can get tangled if they are splayed too hard and circular motions are used, mainly when they go clockwise and counter clockwise.

I have never tied any knots in my Kent’s, but I have to one badger and a couple of horses, a long time ago. I feel like my Kent’s lean more towards the higher end of delicate, as far as my badgers go.

I have untangled it with a pocket comb, losing a few hairs.

I spray cream rinse when I untangle my grand daughters hair. You might want to try that.
