Well my Golden 500 has arrived............

Now the last time I tried an S.E I cut my face to bits. So any help and guidance from the S.E. users on here would be much appreciated please.
I want to give it a proper chance this time, although I doubt it will ever replace my D.E razors it will be nice to have another choice to have.

That's a pretty sweet looking razor. I love the reflective gold on the inside of the case lid.

Very Cool!

Beautiful razor!

Which SE did you use when you flayed yourself? Shy

I would doubt that it was an Injector. These are very effective but mostly mild shavers. The E type and the M-Adjustable being the most aggressive or in the M's case, (possibly) the most aggressive with adjustment. YMMV of course but so far, that's what I've encountered.

The J Type, Golden 500 should prove to be fairly mild and hopefully, you'll get an enjoyable, irritation free shave.
The angle is intuitive IMO and with the longer handle, you have some room to maneuver.

Good luck and please report back on the shave!

Yes, that injector should be very mild. All I'll add is that I get the best injector shaves when I'm using the Chinese Schick blades. The Ted Pella injector blades were always rough for me while the Chinese Schicks were very smooth and would last about 7 shaves. At about $1 per blade & 7 uses per blade that's less than 15cents per use. Not too shabby.

Awesome looking razor. Hoping that you enjoyable shaves from the razor, enjoy. Looking forward to your review of your shave.
I concur that it should be a less aggressive razor then a Gem.

I have a Schick E Injector and love it. Yours is supposed to be less aggressive so you shouldn't have too much trouble. Let us know how you get on with it; it's a beauty!
