HI - what is your current fave frag? I am loving the usual Chanel for Men BUT I also have Dior Intense that is, well, intense. Beautiful oud that lasts and lasts. I also like the D R Harris bay Rum and the St. John bay rum. I want to buy the Dior Private Collection Oud Ispahan.... anyone tried that?

I had a 2-3 old batch which was very potent but I didn't like the scent for it's skankiness. Sold mine off and bought AL Kimiya - Jabir instead which is a more beautiful and long lasting scent imo.

2-3 sprays and I am done for the day and notes, they keep on changing during the day. I find it more wearable and sophisticated than Oud Ispahan.

My current favorite for summer heat is Zegna’s Sicilian Mandarin.

Zegna’s proprietary Bergamot with mandarin, petitgrain and peppermint. Very refreshing.

It’s hard to pick just one, as I have a rotation of 400-500 fragrances and I couldn’t pick my favourite among those, even if hard pressed.

But my favourite fragrance houses are:

Amouage
Dior
Creed
Chanel
Bond no. 9
Hermés
Serge Lutens
Tom Ford
Acqua Di Parma
Commes des Garçon
Yves Saint Laurent
BOIS 1920
By Killian
Penhaligons

I own at least 6 fragrances from each of the above mentioned houses.

+1.  My wife got me some for my birthday, I really enjoy it.  I have several fougere soaps, Sartorial seems to go well with any of them.

Tom Ford Black Orchid is definitely worth a try.  I have received the most compliments for that scent than any of the others I wear.

Isn't it more on the feminine side? I know that it's a unisex frag, at least that's how it is promoted, but love it only when a beautiful woman wears it and passes by you. I'd say it's a 80-20, female to male frag.

A woman used to wear this at the gym I go and it was the bomb, such a strong, robust scent.

My current favorite is Dior Sauvage, to answer the OP question.

A frag you can wear any time of the day. It's long-lasting and has a great projection on me. Love it.

In the last year I use Terre de Sarment by Frapin & Cie

Nice frag, long longevity, moderate sillage.

I still can’t say I have a favourite, but I can say, that I’m thinning my favourites in my collection down somewhat; retiring a lot of bottles to the bathroom (where I keep my deodorants and fragrances used on top of the deodorant in the armpit area)
FYI fragrances should never be stored in a damp/heated environment- only if you intend to use them in a matter of short time, say 2-3 months.

Just as with shaving soaps I only want the absolute best to my nose now.
Fragrances I gave a chance and a few wearings in 2014/2015/2016/2017 and still don’t impress my nose to a high degree will be removed from my fragrance collection.

I think I’m closing in on having removed 30-40 fragrances now, more to come in the following years.

Thanks for reading my thoughts, that were slightly OT.

I can however recommend a fresh stylish manly fragrance, that you don’t hear much about with a Chanel Platinum and Abe Fitch Fierce Original vibe:
Kiton for men

Smells very fresh yet not aquatic in any way. Would and could be a great pick for an all year Signature fragrance (though I’m against Signature fragrances, since it would bore me to death)

It's the same with me. I am cutting down on my frag collection a bit. Sold off 10-15 bottles in last 1 qtr.

Can't decide on "one" fragrance as it depends on mood, climate, occasion etc etc.

But I like Aventus, ADP Oud Concentree, Fougere Royale, Nasomattos ( Duro, Hindu Grass, black Afgano), Amouage ( Reflection, Memoir, Epic), Tauer (LDDM).

Caraceni - have a source so wearing daily, feel like a Bond villain

Next would be tie between Creed GIT and Pens Eng Fern

Finally Derby Chop Shop

Yes I know should be wearing citrus and florals for summer but these are what preferred

Have plenty of Creed Mayfair, Neroli & VIW, ADP, Bleinheim Bouquet and Hammam Bouquet&c but feeling the hardcore scents

In love with Aramis right now... a perfect Autumn scent.
Woody. Leather. Robust, but not overdone.
