It takes me 2-3 days to get a good amount of whiskers to shave off - ie I don't have a heavy beard. Is there any thing like "Regaine" for enhancing a beard growth?

I believe this topic has been raised previously, so I’ll repeat my answer: Instead of putting rogaine on your face, try shaving with fewer passes, never going ATG, using a less aggressive razor/blade combo, etc. This should allow you to go for a DFS, but shave more often. In the end, I believe your beard growth-rate comes down to genetics.

I with you on using the product. I'll only shave 2-3 times a week. This takes forever to properly test all the stuff for a rookie like myself. It will take me the rest of the year just to nail down my best blade choices alone.

If you enjoy shaving, why wait until you need to?

Find your groove. Mine is WTG and ATG 2 pass shave for a nice presentable daily shave.

Rogaine works on your face.

Google it. Lots of info supporting it. It doesn't work for everyone and I'm not a doctor. So look into the side effects and discuss with your own physician.

I agree with everyone else though. Go with what you've got and enjoy the way you are. Shave when you want or need to. Sometimes the joy it's in the journey rather than the destination.

I wish I didn’t have to shave at all ;-)

With that said, I enjoy my shave and the entire ritual. But honestly I would prefer not to have to shave at all.

Why don’t you just go for a DFS daily shave skipping the ATG pass ?

If you like to shave daily, just do it.
No matter the amount of hair you grow daily.

Don’t complicate things !

If that would be the case many shaving shops would go out of business, they depend on your orders  Wink

BRAVO!!!!!

Why not shave everyday but with one pass plus touch ups?

I sometimes do this morning and evening.

I torture myself and just wait till it's all that much more about  the joy and care I put into treating myself to that pleasure. Kind of like a massage only more frequently than once a week or longer sometimes. Every other day is just fine for me.

I'm in the same position.  My beard doesn't grow very fast.  I could go 48 hours in between shaves if I waited until I need to.  I don't.  I shaved this morning and am still quite presentable.  When I get ready to settle down for the night, I'll shower and then I'll shave.  Don't care whether I need to or not.  I enjoy doing it so I'll do it.

I love shaving too but lately have seem myself got for 5-7 days without - lazy but satisfying to shave off the scruff.
