Yep just picked up a .86 DC HR2 handle in polished.  I've got the standard .61 and .80 and can't wait to try the .86

I bought a .74 a long, long time ago. I don’t think .86 was available then or, if it was, I didn’t know. The .74 was the “aggressive” version, but it’s not efficient enough for me. I use it once in a while, mostly to enjoy using a beautiful piece of art. Some day I’ll find a .86...

Thanks! My shaving buddy Loot messaged me that the site was open and to hurry up so I had it in my cart in like 2 minutes and he messaged me that he got one to. I messaged another buddy of mine about 2 min after I checked out and it was closed already when he tried.

Sometimes it's nice to have friends, eh Frankie? You told me how to do it or I wouldn't have the ones I've gotten.

Oh, and you guys will be glad to know @danlaw finally got to order one tonight too! Maybe now he will quit whining so much! Haha. Kidding DannyLaw

It seems just a few razors are made available then sells out almost immediately.

I had the same issue with mine but last night I put a Kai blade in it and paid close attention to my shave angle and got a perfect BBS shave that is just starting to feel stubble 16 hours later. The Kai blade was still very smooth but just like in my Karve it gave the Wolfman a little boost in efficiency

I have the .81 OC and it works really well depending on the blade(for example, Persona Platinum is a no go).  I would compare to level 3 Charcoal Goods for me.   A little less aggressive than Muhle R41.

I have been using Astra SP blades in my WR1-SB 0.67 and been getting very good shaves until yesterday evening when I thought I might try a Feather, WOW! I was never able to tame a Feather in my ATT R1 (or anything) but I have just had one of the closest and irritation free shaves ever! I love this razor!

I'm with you! I've now shaved with  a .61DC , .80DC and soon my new .86OC and I have to say any Wolfman I've shaved with using the right blade, finding that small sweet spot that is a trademark and a good technique will provide a great shave and I think sometimes  Wolfman razors just gets praised for it's stunning looks and finish and some forget that they are really very good shavers as well.

Today  I just did a shave comparison doing half a face with a Charcoal Goods Level 3 OC and a friends .86 SB and it was basically a dead even shave. 2 Pass BBS from both razors and the Wolfman was noticeably smoother where as the CG had more blade feel. So figuring I'd like even a little more efficiency I emailed James right away and asked if he could change my order from a DC to an OC and he emailed me back within an hour and said he was working on my razor and it was no problem and I'll change it to an OC for you. Now that's what I call good customer service. Btw I used a brand new Polsilver in both razors.

I really enjoy my Wolfman as well. I have the standard gap OC. It does have small sweet spot, but it shaves great once you find it. It’s perfect for a daily razor, but I would like one of the more aggressive plates if he ever offers a base plate only option.

I have the standard 0.61. Tried a Feather a month or so ago and yes that is one sweet shave. I have one area under my chin that I still have problems with, perhaps that is an issue with technique. I am tempted to try the 0.74 but that may too much as I like to shave every day.

While I was waiting for stock availability I spent quite a long time deliberating between the 0.67 and 0.74. I must have read every single post on TSN that referenced the WR1 and never has the term YMMV been so apparent. I wanted something that was similar, but a little but more efficient than the ATT R1 - some people said the WR1 0.74 was closer to the ATT H plate while some said it was very mild. I must have changed my mind between the 0.67 and 0.74 so many times, but in the end when stock become available, it was 0.67 that won. Again YMMV, but I find the 0.67 to be slightly less efficient than the ATT R1 but a lot more comfortable to use. If I was going to do it again then I probably would go with the 0.74, but I do wonder if that would be too much for a daily driver. With the 0.67 I do need to do a little touch up on the chin area, but apart from that I am very happy, especially as a Feather seems to bridge the gap!

Both times I have just randomly looked and they have been available(and I check once every day).  The first time it was around 530 pm CT and once(today) it was around 1230 pm.  I tried websites that give you a email when a webpage changes but by the time I got the message and looked they were sold out.  Sorry, I don't have a sure method that will work for everyone.

The guys I talk to regularly knew I was looking and one of them texted me when the website opened. I really appreciate the help from them.
