Hi, a few days ago while buying vitamins at Walmart, I found a new item. Pure oils, not the diffuser ones,
pure fragrance grade.I picked up Vetiver and Peaceful Sleep. They have over a dozen different ones.
Went to the shelf with travel bottles, picked up a couple, grabbed a bottle of Witch hazel.
Mix a few drops of essential oil....add witch hazel. AFTER SHAVE! Shake before use.
The Haitian Vetiver is S-T-R-O-N-G !

Watching this thread with interest.  Is witch hazel the best to mix with?  What about alcohol?  Both?

If you use alcohol, you need a special denatured alcohol called SDA 40B. (perfumers blend)
Witch Hazel is cheap, available, no sting for an easy, comfortable custom aftershave.

Regular rubbing alcohol has an odor all it's own.
You can use booze too.

I like your style. I've settled on using a mix of 85% dickinson's witch hazel, 10% corn huskers, 5% argan oil and a few drops of essential oil.

I’ve been using this formula every day for almost a year. My skin looks and feels better than a year ago, could be a combination of improved shaving technique too.

I tried mixing some essential oil in the witch hazel and all the oils are floating on top. What am I doing wrong?

Read the second to  last sentence in the original Post.
"Shake before use"
Shake b/4 you apply. That mixes it up. It will separate when it is allowed to settle.
Enjoy... Wink
