Paislays Lavender Soap Container - You know how it goes... you search for a year for a vintage soap container and then two come at once... not in bad condition either. One better than the other but both will scrub up nicely. One even has a bit of soap inside - should I try it?

Those are really nice. Looks like a tortoise shell. Where on earth does one find anything that nice? How old are they?

I think they are Bakelite. 1930’s. I found both on eBay included in other shaving lots.

I went on a bakelite binge for a few years buying every handle I could find. 

Love the dish though.

Not tried it yet - maybe next shave. The thing is I don't think there is enough soap for a 3-pass.
