I highly recommend the Stirling Balm. I find that a balm works best for me when I use a tiny amount like the size of a dime or even less. After shaving and rinsing I leave my face and hands wet then after rubbing the small amount of balm between my wet palms I just quickly apply balm evenly over my face/neck area. This way it goes on thinly and evenly w/no excess therefor it feels great & does what its suppose to do like heal and moisturize w/out heavy, tacky, greasy,or sticky feeling. Great balm!

Happy Shaving!

If you want something light, I'd use a mild rather than a balm for the summer. D.R. Harris and Esbjerg are two of my favorites.

The Eufros balm might be what you're looking for. It's light and unless you use a whole lot of it, won't leave oily residue on your skin. Use sparingly, anyway, because a little goes a long way. It relieves immediately your skin and helps repairing it. I highly recommend.

I agree with the suggestion of using a milk instead of a balm when you want something light.

I use Nivea aftershave balm. This really helps with razor burn for me.

I would recommend it and its light.

Extremely sensitive skin and workout daily in a very humid hot environment => Best by far are the Antica Barbieri Colla balms - any of them, Institut Karite quite good but best inexpensive balms are the Proraso

Was gifted a sample of the SV "Cosmo" after shave lotion and can't wait to purchase a bottle for myself. It's light with a nice scent that will be perfect for hot days or even cool nights.
