I have both-and I use always my Wolfman - my paradigm 17-4 has not been used for more than 10 times.

What is your opinion?

I use my 17-4 frequently. It's the smoothest razor I own that can give me a truly close shave. I haven't used my Wolfman .74 open comb in over a year, as I just can't get the efficiency I need. I plan someday to see if I can swap it for a .86+ open comb, which I suspect will meet my efficiency needs.

Other way around here, the 17-4 gets used a lot, the wolfmans once in a while.

I am ready to let go my Wolfman. Paradigm doesn't come anywhere near in finish, craftsmanship and certainly not in service, but the shaves are better, ime.

I use both. My Wolfman .74 Ti is the least efficient but an excellent razor for a day when I just need to touchup after a great shave the night before. The .86 Wolfman is slightly more efficient than my 17-4 and equal to my Paradigm Ti 1 ( but slightly smoother). IMHO no other razor I have owned is equal to Wolfman's fit and finish. My Paradigms and Timeless razors are the next closest in finish. I enjoy both razors but they have different feel to the shave. Andy at Paradigm has given me excellent customer service, as I had an issue with my original Top Cap on my 17-4 and he fixed it quickly and to my liking. The advantage to Wolfman ( also Timeless and Brian at Charcoal Goods) is the person selling the razor is also making it from start to finish, so I believe the product  gets an extra level of quality thru the whole process.  Just my 2 cents worth.

I have the WR1 .86 SB and the Paradigm 2
As far as build quality and finish its a dead heap. Both have mirror finishes with no flaws. As far as the shave because the Wolfman has the .86 gap I give it a very slight edge over the Paradigm 2 . Both are smooth shavers. The grip on the Paradigm is slightly better but again just barely. These are two great razors.

Great information I’ve been following treads about Wolfman and paradigm for quite some time now just can’t decide which one to get yet when the opportunity comes.

I have both and agree, cant go wrong with either. I think the Wolfman would be easier to get than a 17-4 as the Wolf is currently in production.

Both have given me excellent customer service. I bought the 17-4 second hand and it had an issue. Brian was awesome.

With that said, my 17-4 gets very little use. The Wolman in 80OC is pretty close in efficiency. The 86SB and 94SB's are more efficient and almost as smooth.
